Non-woven fabric insoles are increasingly popular in footwear due to their loose structure, breathability, skin-friendliness, and high plasticity. To fully utilize their performance advantages and extend their lifespan, users can follow several practical suggestions in daily use to achieve a balance between comfort and material maintenance.

First, an adaptation treatment is recommended for initial use. Newly purchased non-woven fabric insoles can be gently rinsed with water or a neutral detergent to remove dust and additive residues that may have adhered during production and storage. Then, place them in a cool, ventilated place to air dry naturally. This improves surface cleanliness and allows the fiber structure to stretch appropriately in a moist state, enhancing the fit to the shoe cavity and sole. Avoid using strong acids, strong alkalis, or chlorine bleach, as these can damage the fiber bonding and functional coating.

During daily use, the replacement frequency should be adjusted according to the usage scenario and season. For environments with high activity levels or where sweating is common, it is recommended to remove the insoles every three to five days to allow them to air dry and prevent moisture buildup that can cause odors or microbial growth. If the insoles get wet from rain, remove them immediately, wipe them dry, and allow them to air dry completely before putting them back in the shoes. This prevents the fiber structure from losing elasticity and support due to dampness and mold.

Cleaning and maintenance should be done gently. Use a soft-bristled brush or a damp cloth with a neutral detergent to gently wipe away surface stains, cleaning in one direction along the fiber direction to reduce the risk of pilling and damage. The water temperature should not be too high, ideally at room temperature or not exceeding 30℃, and avoid prolonged soaking. When wringing out water, do not wring; gently press to remove excess water and then lay them flat to dry to prevent structural deformation.

Storage is equally important. Non-woven insoles that are not used for a long time should be cleaned, dried, and stored separately in a breathable paper or cloth bag. Avoid heavy stacking that can cause fiber clumping. Also, keep them away from high temperatures and direct sunlight to prevent aging and brittleness. If the insole has a non-slip or antibacterial coating, avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent the coating from peeling off and affecting its function.

Proper use and maintenance not only maintain the breathability, shock absorption, and skin-friendly advantages of non-woven insoles, but also slow down performance degradation, improve the overall wearing quality and hygiene of the footwear, and provide more reliable support for daily walking and sports.
